Style Creator interviews Rosie Fortescue
Most people may know Rosie from the hit TV show Made In Chelsea but the brunette beauty is more than just a reality tv star. Rosie has been making her name known in the fashion industry and we was lucky enough to ask the questions you were all dying to know the answer to.
Congratulations on your new column online at the Evening Standard, has being a fashion
columnist always been something you have wanted to do?
Thank you! After starting my blog, a column was definitely the next step. I am so please to be working with the Evening Standard and sharing my fashion tips and ideas.
What can we expect to see in your column?
I am going to be updating my readers on fashion and art events that I go to, London Fashion Week, high street picks and of course about my jewellery lusts.
You run your own fashion blog atfashionforte.com, what inspired you to create your blog?
I had always wanted to start a fashion blog when I was at Goldsmiths university studying History of Art. When I was finishing my degree it felt like the right time to start it and when I began filming Made in Chelsea I documented my outfits. It’s a great way to enable the viewer to access my wardrobe and reach out to the fans of the show.
Us girls at Style Creator are a big fan of your personal style, what one item in your wardrobe would you not be able to live without?
Thank you! I can’t live without my leather leggings. They are so versatile for both day and night. Dressed down with biker boots and a polo neck with chunky jewellery, or with heels and a silk shirt and blazer in the evening. I am obsessed!
2013 was a very successful year for you, what has been the highlight of your career to date?
The highlights have been my collaborations with Covert Cases and Laura Gravestock. They have been incredibly fun and I have learnt so much in the process.
In an industry where image is seen as very important, do you ever feel under pressure to look a certain way?
I only every dress and be myself. I wouldn’t change for anyone and it’s so important to stay grounded and true to yourself. Otherwise, I think it is easy to get lost in the industry!
You have collaborated with the likes of Klear Klutch, Covert and most recently Laura Gravestock on a jewellery collection. Would you ever consider creating a clothing range next? I know us girls would love to see one.
I am actually in talks with a website at the moment but sadly can’t reveal any more. Watch this space!
Last but not least, what can we expect to see from Rosie Fortescue in 2014?
You can expect more collaborations and my own jewellery range. Hopefully a super busy year ahead!
